New Toy: Canon Vixia HV30

I’ve been wanting a nice video camera for quite some time, so I’m particularly excited about my recent purchase of a Canon Vixia HV30 mini-dv HD camcorder. I’m really looking forward to getting out and seeing what this thing can do… I’ve had a lot of video related ideas floating around in my head, so it’s pretty exciting to see if I have the skills to match my imagination. Spirit of Grandma

I took this picture in my backyard and it’s rather special to me. Ya see, my grandma, who I was very close with, had a knack for growing beautiful orchids and me, on the other hand, only thing I seem to be good at growing is a beer belly. That’s what makes this pic so special; this stunning flower was grown fully in my backyard and despite my neglect, turned into one beautiful specimen. So now, every time I see it, it brings back memories of my wonderful grandma and serves as a reminder that her spirit live on.
