a Day in the Dirt 2010
November 28, 2010 4 Comments
Once a year, Hollywood meets Motocross at the Troy Lee Designs ‘a Day in the Dirt‘ event, where the two industries collide for 3 days of motocross racing. Pala Raceway in San Diego was the site of this year’s event, making this the first year for the race to held somewhere other than the now closed LACR. The race fell on the last weekend in November and the SoCal weather was perfect for motocross. I knew my good bud, Kim Bird was going to be at the track on Sunday filming the event for Lucas Oil, so I decided to grab my camera and head up.

This picture summarizes the day; smiles, legends, non-legends, sun, lots of Troy Lee, family and more smiles.

I love how you can see both of these guys giving it everything they got in this picture

Before anything else, Troy Lee is an artist and that influence could be seen throughout the pits. This was just one of the many vehicles specially decorated for the occasion.
Well I’m stoked I decided to hit the track for a Day in the Dirt; it was a ton of fun and I’m jazzed some of the pictures I got. Apparently the Troy Lee / Lucas Oil crew liked them too, as I recently got word they’ll be included in the Day in the Dirt movie that’s currently in production. Stoked!
Be sure to check out the full a Day in the Dirt Gallery.
